Christian Education

We provide Christian Education for pre-school through adult after our morning worship service.  For children younger than pre-school we provide a nursery during this time.

Curriculum: For pre-school through grade 12 we provide age-appropriate classes.  Currently we are using a curriculum published by Desiring God Ministries (John Piper’s church).   Each week after Christian Education the children gather for a few minutes to pray and hear a report on our missionaries.  This has become a favorite time for many of our children.

Adults study a variety of topics by our pastors, elders and other qualified men.  Our classes are discussion oriented and participatory rather than a lecture.

A New Members Class is held periodically to explain our beliefs, history and worship to those wishing to unite with our church.  This class is normally taught by one of our pastors.  If interested please contact the church office.

In the summertime we often hold an inter-generational class in the sanctuary for all ages.  This gives families an opportunity to study a topic together and often becomes a jumping off point for further discussions at home.

Family Worship:  We believe that the primary means of educating children in the Christian faith is to be done in the home.  The church’s Christian Education program is a supplement to what ought to be done in the home.  To this end we encourage regular family devotions, Scripture memorization and catechesis (memorizing the Westminster Shorter Catechism).
