Missions:

Often churches like ours that hold to reformed theology are accused of not caring about the lost and the cause of world missions.  Such generalizations are not true about Christ Covenant Church.  Twice, during the short time of our existence, we have sponsored Wycliffe Bible Translators and their aviation wing JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Services) at the Midland Barstow Airport.  In addition to flying in missionary aircraft (planes and helicopters), hundreds of people have been introduced to the ongoing task of translating the Bible into the languages of the world.  Many have also learned about careers available in linguistics, computer services, and in missionary aviation.

africa.jpgOur church is actively supporting three career missionary families: one is in southern Africa assisting pastors and churches in the wake of the AIDS crisis.  A second is serving in SE Asia with Wycliffe Bible Translators assisting in the on-going task of translating the Bible into the major languages of the world.  The third is in France working with immigrants from North Africa.   We are also prayerfully considering other requests for support from career missionary families.

Please know that we are also concerned about local missions and opportunities for outreach in our own backyard.  We have supported a number of local agencies and are looking to strengthen our partnership with them.
